Sports Betting Tip - Knowing When you NOT Bet
Since I have been broadcasting daily sports picks throughout the last 4 months, I have already been looking each day to find the best plays readily available for subscribers. More often than not, there's a safe bet being made and they are available quickly.
But other times, there seriously isn't an excellent bet to be noticed anywhere. The payouts are too low, the complement just isn't even, or something else just can make it look to me as though there is nothing worth the risk. There just is no benefits of be found at all in the lines on some days.
Perhaps I realize that because I never go through the games being played on any given day for value. I go through the books lines to locate value, and if there is any value to be enjoyed I am going to take a look in the teams and measure the odds of my team winning my bet.
Most people will start having a game then go to "handicap" it against the lines. The road could have no value in any way. In hockey you frequently find games where both teams are at -110 or worse. Yet there are still people handicapping those games and making bets.
Sports betting may be the only kind of gambling where you have complete control of the rules. You are able to bet only around the specific games you need to bet on, and just when the lines indicate there is value amongst people. But what exactly is value?
Any bet you can find which has a payout of +150 has potential value. I can not imagine for the life span of me why someone would make a bet at -150, but it happens constantly. A bet has value when you're able to win significantly more than you risk on the 50-50 proposition.
On some days, you may want to settle for slightly smaller payout to find the right game. But on other days, there are simply poor quality bets. On those days, why bet whatsoever? You could win the bet, but in reality you could as well took your wager and bought lottery tickets from it.
Look for the lines to ascertain if there is any potential value. If you have, go through the games to see if it is really there. If you do not view a team with a 50% possibility of winning you +150 payout, there isn't any rule that says you must bet anything.
Knowing when to NOT bet a casino game is evenly as important to long lasting winning as knowing which games to bet on.
